DAY 1: MONDAY, WEDNESDAY OR FRIDAY The Overland Board The Overland daylight service this morning. Enjoy the scenery as the train winds its way through the Adelaide Hills, across the Murray River, passing The Grampians before arriving in Melbourne early evening. Make your own way to Batman’s Hill on Collins, your base for the next three nights.
DAY 2: TUESDAY, THURSDAY OR SATURDAY Queen Victoria Markets and Tramcar Resaurant Today is free to enjoy at your own leisure. Enjoy dinner aboard the historical Colonial Tramcar Restaurant, cruising past the scenic streets of Melbourne indulging in the very best of Australian wines and cuisine. (BD) DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY OR SUNDAY Dandenong Ranges and Puffing Billy Stopping at Grants Reserve where you can hand feed the crimson rosella birds. Take Puffing Billy, Australia’s oldest operating steam train, through spectacular forests, before enjoying a delicious spit roast lunch with wine tasting at Fergusson’s Winery. Travel to Rochford’s Winery and Domain Chandon. Return to Melbourne via Yarra Glen and the city’s eastern suburbs. (BL)
