The Overland to Adelaide

Board The Overland daylight service this morning at Southern Cross Station and enjoy the scenery as the train heads west passing The Grampians enroute to the South Australian border. On arrival at Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal you are transferred to the Rydges South Park Adelaide, your base for the next two nights.

DAY 2: WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY OR SUNDAY

DAY 3: THURSDAY, SATURDAY OR MONDAY

Barossa Valley

Today travel through Torrens Gorge for a brief stop at The Big Rocking Horse and browse the wooden toy factory or the animal park. Then travel through the picturesque countryside to Angaston. Visit Angas Park Dried Fruits then onto Wolf Blass winery visitor centre for some wine tasting followed by a hearty 3 course lunch, which consists of a platter of traditional smallgoods at the Vine Inn at Nuriootpa. After lunch travel to the small boutique winery at Vinecrest Wines before settling at the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort for the night. (BL)

DAY 4: FRIDAY, SUNDAY OR TUESDAY

Barossa Valley

Take advantage of a free morning and relax or explore the Barossa Valley at your own leisure. After lunch see the Kies Family Wines for wine tasting before visiting the acoustic phenomenon – the Whispering Wall! You are returned to the Rydges South Park Adelaide late afternoon. (B)
