The Overland to Adelaide

Board The Overland daylight service this morning at Southern Cross Station and enjoy the scenery as the train heads west passing The Grampians enroute to the South Australian border. On arrival at Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal you are transferred to the Rydges South Park Adelaide, your base for the next four nights.

DAY 2: WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY OR SUNDAY

Adelaide and Hahndorf

Your morning city sights tour is an ideal introduction to the Adelaide way of life. See sights from the City Squares to Mount Lofty Ranges and the Glenelg Esplanade. After a bite to eat in Adelaide, visit Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest German settlement. Stroll amongst the century old cork elms lining the main street of stone cottages and curios. (B)

DAY 3: THURSDAY, SATURDAY OR MONDAY

Kangaroo Island

Today experience the unspoilt nature and spectacular wild beauty of Kangaroo Island. Travel on the Cape Jervis ferry to Kangaroo Island. Visit Seal Bay, discover Flinders Chase National Park, a sanctuary for native Australian animals and visit the picturesque Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch, while searching for fur seals in waters below. Your adventure ends at the ferry terminal for your return travel to Adelaide. (BL)
