DAY 1: THURSDAY

The Overland to Adelaide

Board The Overland daylight service this morning at Southern Cross Station and enjoy the scenery as the train heads west passing The Grampians enroute to the South Australian border. On arrival at Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal you are transferred to the Rydges South Park Adelaide.

DAY 2: FRIDAY

Adelaide and the Murray River

This morning explore the city at your own pace, then cruise aboard the PS Murray Princess where you will relax and enjoy the stunning river sights and a welcome dinner. (BD)

DAY 3: SATURDAY

Murray River

Enjoy a guided nature walk to discover the local flora and fauna. Join your discovery vessel for a backwater wildlife tour and view amazing birdlife and big 90 metre river cliffs. After dinner enjoy the fun of the Murray River Cup. (BLD)

DAY 4: SUNDAY

Murray River

Start with a morning talk about the Riverlands’ bountiful food and wine trail before visiting the Pomberuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre. In the evening join the Captain and officers for pre-dinner drinks and the Captain’s Dinner and Dance. (BLD)

DAY 5: MONDAY

Murray River and Adelaide

After breakfast, dock at Mannum where you are transferred back to Adelaide to explore at your leisure. Stay overnight at the Rydges South Park Adelaide. (B)

DAY 6: TUESDAY

Kangaroo Island

This morning travel via scenic coach transfer to the Cape Jervis ferry that takes you across to Kangaroo Island. Visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery then marvel at the natural hunting abilities of the Birds of Prey before taking a guided beach walk among a breeding colony of rare Australian sealions. Travel to Parndana Wildlife Park and Island Pure Sheep Dairy, a unique and fascinating farm. You’ll stay overnight in Kingscote at the Ozone Aurora Hotel (or similar). (BL)

DAY 7: WEDNESDAY

Kangaroo Island

More great island highlights include Clifford’s Honey Farm, Kelly Hill Caves and Flinders Chase National Park to see the spectacular Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch. Watch pelicans feeding before heading back to the Rydges South Park Adelaide for the night. (BL)
