Great Southern Rail are introducing exciting new inclusions and experiences onboard The Ghan and Indian Pacific to give you more adventure and value for your holiday dollar. We have revamped our rail offering so that your all-inclusive rail journey is even more memorable.

From 1 April 2013, as a Platinum or Gold Service guest, included in your fare are all refreshments including soft drinks, beers, high-quality standard wines and base spirits throughout your journey. |
Off Train Excursions

Also from 1 April 2013, included in your fare will be a new series of exclusive Off Train Excursions that promise to be truly unique and full of special memories. These experiences are designed to discover the culture and history of the destinations you will visit on your journey, exclusive to Great Southern Rail guests.

Dining

Dining will offer more flexible meal times, allowing you to rise for breakfast at your own leisure, enjoy a long lunch, or an intimate dinner later in the evening. We will also be introducing new menus, designed to reflect the best of regional produce and flavours along the way. |
On Board Check-in

1 April 2013 will welcome guests to check-in on the train and relax in the Outback Explorer Lounge before departure. Make yourself comfortable, enjoy a welcome drink and meet your host and fellow travellers. You'll start enjoying your holiday from the moment you step on board. |
Luggage Allowance

|
|
Luggage allowances will increase to 25kg per piece, which means you will be able to take more of your creature comforts. Platinum Service guests will be able to take up to three pieces per person (75kg) and Gold Service guests will be able to take two pieces (50kg). |
