Uluru Field of Light Pass

It is the largest Field of Light installation to date, with Munro and his team installing more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres.

Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light, inspired by a trip to Uluru 24 years ago, is installed in a remote desert area within sight of majestic Uluru. It is the largest Field of Light installation to date, with Munro and his team installing more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres.

Born in London in 1959, Bruce Munro’s passion for light as a medium began in Australia, where he was inspired by Australia’s natural light and landscape. He is noted for his immersive site specific installations that employ light to evoke emotional response, often in an outdoor context and on a monumental scale.

Your Field of Light Experience begins with a convenient hotel pick-up and short transfer to the remote desert location.

As darkness has fallen, the 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted-glass spheres will gently bloom with rhythms of coloured light. Temporarily lose yourself in this monumental light installation as its pathways draw you in.
