Day 1 (Tue)


This afternoon, check in to your overnight accommodation, Vibe Darwin Waterfront Hotel.

Day 2 (Wed)

The Ghan, Katherine

After being transferred from your hotel to the Darwin Rail Station, your journey on board the legendary Ghan begins. After a light lunch in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, arrive in Katherine. Enjoy an Off Train Excursion to Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge, one of the highlights of your journey, before continuing the journey south to Alice Springs. (B,L,D)

Day 3 (Thur)

Alice Springs

This morning after breakfast, The Ghan arrives into Alice Springs. You will then be transferred to your accommodation, Lasseters Hotel, and the afternoon is yours to explore the delights of this outback city. (B)

Day 4 (Fri)

Alice Springs - Uluru and Kata Tjuta

This morning join your 3 day tour of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm for an optional camel ride on these ‘ships of the desert’ (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon, travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta and walk through Walpa Gorge, before returning to Uluru in time for sunset, while enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. Accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort. *Barbecue Dinner upgrade option - After sunset, you will be transferred to the exclusive barbecue site within Uluru National Park for a relaxed dining experience under the stars, before returning to your accommodation.

Day 5 (Sat)

Uluru - Kings Canyon

Early start this morning to view sunrise over Uluru, before joining your guide on a walk around the base of Uluru. Travel to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole, and visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, to learn about Aboriginal culture and see local artwork. This afternoon travel to Kings Canyon. Accommodation at Kings Canyon Resort.

Day 6 (Sun)

Kings Canyon - Alice Springs

This morning join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness). An easier walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor is also available. Enjoy lunch at Kings Creek Station (own expense) before travelling to Alice Springs, and being transferred to your accommodation, Lasseters Hotel.

Day 7 (Mon)

Alice Springs

This morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel. (B)
