Day 1 (Sun or Wed)

The Ghan, Adelaide - Alice Springs

Make your way to the Adelaide Parklands Terminal for your journey aboard The Ghan. Enjoy lunch while travelling through the outskirts of Adelaide. This evening, relax and enjoy the company of new friends, as you dine in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant. (L,D)

Day 2 (Mon or Thur)

Alice Springs

An opportunity early this morning, to stretch your legs and get a taste of the outback, with a Short Stop at Marla. Arrive into Alice Springs early in the afternoon, where you can join an included Off Train Excursion to explore the many facets of this historic outback city. This evening, The Ghan departs Alice Springs. (B,L,D)

Day 3 (Tue or Fri)

Katherine - Darwin

This morning after breakfast, the train arrives into Katherine. Enjoy an Off Train Excursion to Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge, one of the highlights of your journey, before continuing to Darwin, arriving in the early evening. You will be transferred to your accommodation, DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade. (B,L)

Day 4 (Wed or Sat)

Darwin

Today is yours to explore Darwin at your own pace. Visit the Waterfront Precinct, explore the Art Gallery and Museum, or simply kick back and relax by the pool at your accommodation. (B)

Day 5 (Thur or Sun)

Darwin - Kakadu

This morning join your 2 day tour. Travel across Adelaide River and Marrakai Plains and deep into Kakadu National Park. Take a guided walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock art at Nourlangie Rock. After lunch join the famous Yellow Water Billabong Cruise to observe saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of prolific bird life that this region is renowned for. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays and exhibits depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people. There is the opportunity for an optional 50 minute scenic flight (own expense). Accommodation is at Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, Kakadu. (B,L)

Day 6 (Fri or Mon)

Kakadu - Darwin

This morning stop at Ubirr with a short walk to view rock art. Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River in search of saltwater crocodiles. We have an Aboriginal guide with us and with the special permission of the local people, we will be able to enter into Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. Return journey to Darwin, where you will be transferred to your accommodation, Double Tree by Hilton Esplanade. (L)

Day 7 (Sat or Tue)

Darwin

This morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel. (B)
