Day 1 (Mon or Thur)

The Ghan Alice Springs - Darwin

Your journey begins by joining The Ghan in Alice Springs, settle into the comforts of your cabin, and enjoy a three course dinner in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, as you travel north towards Darwin. (D)

Day 2 (Tue or Fri)

Katherine, arrive in Darwin

This morning after breakfast, the train arrives into Katherine. Enjoy an Off Train Excursion to Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge, one of the highlights of your journey, before continuing to Darwin, arriving in the early evening. You will be transferred to your accommodation for the next 2 nights, Double Tree ?by Hilton Esplanade. (B,L)

Day 3 (Wed or Sat)

Darwin

Today is yours to explore Darwin at your own pace. Visit the Waterfront Precinct, explore the Art Gallery and Museum, or simply kick back and relax by the pool at your accommodation. (B)

Day 4 (Thur or Sun)

Darwin - Kakadu

This morning join your 2 day tour. Travel across Adelaide River and Marrakai Plains and deep into Kakadu National Park. Take a guided walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock art at Nourlangie Rock. After lunch join the famous Yellow Water Billabong Cruise to observe saltwater crocodiles and bird life. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and learn about the traditions of the Aboriginal people. Accommodation is at Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, Kakadu. (B,L)

Day 5 (Fri or Mon)

Kakadu - Darwin

This morning stop at Ubirr with a short walk to view rock art. Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River in search of saltwater crocodiles. We have an Aboriginal guide with us and with the special permission of the local people, we will be able to enter into Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. Return journey to Darwin, where you will be transferred to your accommodation, Double Tree by Hilton Esplanade. (L) Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays and exhibits depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people. There is the opportunity for an optional 50 minute scenic flight (own expense). Accommodation is at Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, Kakadu. (B,L)

Day 6 (Sat or Tue)

Darwin

This morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel. (B)
