Day 1 (Wed)

Indian Pacific, Sydney

Depart Sydney in the afternoon and start a true journey of contrasts. Get acquainted with the staff and settle in for the journey. As the hustle and bustle of the metropolis is left behind and the scenery changes to the majestic Blue Mountains, relax in your cabin or if you’d rather be social, make your way to the Outback Explorer Lounge to meet fellow guests. Satisfy your appetite with one of the Indian Pacific’s exquisite menu options, but just make sure you leave room for one of the desserts as well. After dinner, join other guests for a few late-night drinks or head to your cabin to settle in early and await the sights of your first incredible outback sunrise the next day.

Day 2 (Thu)

Indian Pacific, Broken Hill and Adelaide

Wake up as you arrive in Broken Hill, a classic mining town where the streets are wide and there is a pub on every corner. On your Off Train Excursion, explore the beauty of this country town. Back onboard make your choice from an extensive breakfast menu.

This afternoon choose between a leisurely tour through Adelaide's city centre and indulge in a specially-tailored food and wine experience. Alternatively, explore the Barossa Valley’s boutique wineries, before enjoying a gastronomic delight of local produce. Back onboard, socialise in the Outback Explorer Lounge, or head back to your cabin. (B,L,D)

Day 3 (Fri)

Indian Pacific, Nullarbor

Wake up and marvel at the beauty of the Nullarbor. Take some time to reflect on the changing landscapes in your journey and to enjoy the hospitality of the Outback Explorer Lounge as you travel across Australia’s longest single straight stretch of railway. Your sense of wonder will be well and truly ignited when it comes time to disembark at Rawlinna that evening. Enjoy a dining experience under the glimmering Nullarbor skies. (B,L,D)

Day 4 (Sat)

Indian Pacific, Perth

Pass through the Avon Valley this morning, the picturesque scenery of this part of the world will truly delight. This afternoon, arrive in Perth, where you will be transferred to your hotel for the next two nights, Miss Maud Swedish Hotel. Spend the evening experiencing what Perth and its surrounds have to offer. Discover the world’s largest inner city park, explorer the vibrant nightlife or unwind with a mouth-watering dinner by the river. (B,L)

Day 5 (Sun)

Perth and Fremantle

Enjoy a city sights tour that includes the historic port of Fremantle and a cruise along the Swan River. Takes in all of Perth's major attractions including the Western Australian Cricket Ground, Kings Park and the Tree Top Walkway. Enjoy a picturesque drive along Cottesloe Beach, before arriving into Fremantle. Long renowned for its eclectic mix of arty and alternative types, Fremantle’s streets buzz with the songs of buskers, the sidewalks fill with a collection of art and music floats from trendy cafés and bars. Enjoy a leisurely cruise back to Perth. (B)

Day 6 (Mon)

Perth to Margaret River

Travel south towards the iconic Busselton Jetty, before continuing further south to the Margaret River region. Stop at the famous Bootleg Brewery to indulge in a gourmet platter lunch full of local produce and enjoy award winning beer and cider tastings. Sandalford Winery is the next stop for a chance to enjoy premium wine tastings. Travel further south to Mammoth Cave and Boranup Forest. Be awestruck by the size of the massive Karri Trees as the journey continues to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. From here you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation in Margaret River.(B,L,D*)

Day 7 (Tue)

Margaret River to Perth

Wine tour for Food Lovers Appreciate some down time this morning, before checking out of your accommodation. Wander into the heart of Margaret River and experience the charm of the local cafes, boutiques and galleries. Be taken on a unique gastronomic journey celebrating the region’s food and wine artisans. Savour wine tastings in a tranquil and intimate fashion at a range of remarkable boutique and five star wineries, Adinfern Estate, Margaret River Provedore and Windows Estate. Finish the day with chocolate and coffee tasting. (Additional $50.00 per person (twin share)).
