Day 1 (Wed)

Indian Pacific, Sydney

Join the Indian Pacific in Sydney and settle into the comforts of your cabin, before enjoying dinner in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant. (D)

Day 2 (Thur)

Indian Pacific, Broken Hill and Adelaide

Take part in an early morning Off Train Excursion to see the sights of Broken Hill, before continuing onto Adelaide. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation, Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide on Hindley. (B,L)

Day 3 (Fri)

Adelaide to Mannum

Unwind during a leisurely coach drive to historic Mannum, birthplace of the Murray River trade and communication. Mid-afternoon the PS Murray Princess departs and heads downriver while you enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a welcome dinner. As you cruise under floodlight to the overnight mooring at Mundarra you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank whilst the onboard entertainer provides music for the night owls. (B,D)

Day 4 (Sat)

Murray Bridge to Craignook

In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards Crossing, which quickly became the bustling township of Murray Bridge. After a hearty breakfast, join a guided tour of the town’s historic landmarks and local attractions. Continue the journey upriver and tonight you will moor at Craignook. After dinner, enjoy being entertained by the talented crew.(B,L,D)

Day 5 (Sun)

River View Lodge

All ashore for a guided nature walk, before the PS Murray Princess departs for the big river gorges and steep cliffs of the upper river. Mid-morning there’s a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine produced in the Riverland. Just after Fromms Landing, the PS Murray Princess will turn and head downriver to River View Lodge where your discovery vessel awaits for a backwater wildlife tour. Travelling in small, personalised groups, explore the river and be amazed by the birdlife. Tonight join the Captain and Officers for pre-dinner drinks and the Captain’s Dinner and Dance. (B,L,D)

Day 6 (Mon)

Mannum to Adelaide

Drift back into Mannum and say your farewells. A coach will transfer you back to the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide on Hindley. (B)

Day 7 (Tue)

Adelaide

Today is free to explore the beautiful city of Adelaide, there are a number of major attractions within walking distance from your hotel. Stroll along the River Torrens and North Terrace, or catch the tram to Glenelg and explore this popular beachside suburb.(B)

Day 8 (Wed)

Adelaide

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. (B)
