Day 1 ( Wed)

Indian Pacific, Sydney - Broken Hill

This afternoon, start your journey aboard the Indian Pacific, in Sydney. Settle in to the comforts of your cabin, as you travel across the Blue Mountains to Broken Hill. (D)

Day 2 (Thur)

Broken Hill and Adelaide

This morning, arrive into the 'Silver City' of Broken Hill. Join your Off Train Excursion and explore the history of this mining town. Continue to Adelaide, arriving in the early afternoon - choose to explore the Barossa, or the city of Adelaide, and enjoy your off train dinner experience. This evening continue the journey to Perth. Day 3 (Fri)

Rawlinna

Travel across the Nullarbor Plain today, and experience this unique landscape, at the old railway outpost of Rawlinna. Step off the train and survey the bush surroundings, enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the views, and perhaps witness a spectacular Nullarbor sunset.(B, L, D)

Day 4 (Sat)

Perth

This afternoon, arrive in Perth, where you will be transferred to your hotel for the next 3 nights, Miss Maud Swedish Hotel. (B, L)

Day 5 (Sun)

Food and Wine Tour, Swan Valley

This morning join your food and wine tour of the Swan Valley. Visit 10 of the region's top food and wine producers, enjoying delicious local produce. (B)

Day 6 (Mon)

Triple Tour

This tour includes three major tourist attractions of WA, a great introduction for any visitor to Perth. Discover Perth city and historic sites aboard an open top double decker bus, then depart Perth and cruise down the Swan River to Fremantle. (B)

Day 7 (Tue)

Perth - Darwin

Make your own way to the airport, and fly from Perth to Darwin. Make your own way to your hotel for the next 4 nights, Darwin Central (B)

Day 8 (Wed)

Darwin

Today explore Darwin on your hop on/hop off tour. (B)

Day 9 (Thur)

Litchfield National Park and Jumping Crocs

Join your tour of Litchfield National Park and Jumping Crocodiles. There are plenty of opportunities for swimming in a waterhole, so don't forget your swimming costume! (B)

Darwin

Free day to further explore Darwin. (B)

Day 11 (Sat)

The Ghan and Katherine

After being tranferred from your hotel to the Darwin Rail Terminal, your journey on board the legendary Ghan begins. After a light lunch in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, arrive in Katherine. Enjoy an Off Train Excursion to Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge, one of the highlights of your journey, before continuing the journey south to Alice Springs. ( B, L, D)

Day 12 (Sun)

The Ghan, Alice Springs

This morning, after breakfast, arrive in Alice Springs. You will then have the opportunity to undertake an included Off Train Excursion, taking in the delights of this famous outback town, surrounded by the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges. This evening, enjoy an Outback Bush Barbeque under the stars, in an unique setting. Enjoy local hospitality, entertainment, and a star talk, where you will marvel at the amazing outback sky. (B, L, D)

Day 13 (Mon)

The Ghan, Coober Pedy

After breakfast this morning, arrive at the siding of Manguri. From here, you will be met by your local tour host, and embark on a full day tour of the unique opal mining town of Coober Pedy. Witness how the locals live underground, learn about the unique history of the area, and enjoy lunch with a local flavour, in an underground mine. This afternoon travel to the Breakways, and marvel at what was once a vast inland sea, now an area of outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy a glass of bubbly and canapes, before returning to The Ghan in the late afternoon. Back on train, sit back and relax while you enjoy dinner in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, and reflect on your experience in Coober Pedy. (B, L, D)

Adelaide

This morning after breakfast, The Ghan arrives into Adelaide. (B)
