(L,D)

Day 2 (Monday)

Wake up with a coffee or juice and witness an unforgettable outback sunrise off train at Marla, in the remote reaches of South Australia. Back on board, it’s time for brunch. After more incredible outback scenery, arrive in Alice Springs and transfer to your accommodation. (B,L)

Day 3 (Tuesday)

After breakfast, join your coach transfer to Ayers Rock Resort. Travel south through the MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm and marvel at majestic Attila (Mt Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon is for you to explore at your leisure. There are many free activities including guided and self-guided garden walks through the native gardens, bush yarns at the Circle of Sand with a local Aboriginal storyteller, or watch artists work in the Wintjiri Arts and Museum. (B)

Day 4 (Wednesday)

This is a once in a lifetime exclusive invitation to visit the remote Pitjantjatjara Lands of Central Australia. You will travel by 4WD deep into the desert to meet your Aboriginal hosts, the traditional owners of Cave Hill – the most significant art site in Central Australia. Experience the culture and history of the Anangu, listen to the teachings from the traditional owners, explore the Aboriginal songlines (stories) and enter the cave to survey the rock art of ancient times. This is an Indigenous cultural experience that will provide you with an insight into everyday Aboriginal life. The highlight of the tour is the graphically illustrated paintings of the creation story of the Seven Sisters. (B,L)

Day 5 (Thursday)

Enjoy a sleep-in and some free time this morning before your afternoon touring commences. Join a traditional owner of Uluru, a member of the Uluru family, on their homelands and spend time learning about the oldest living culture in the world. Today you will experience a unique and exclusive experience touring to Patji, located just outside of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Explore this extraordinary environment by 4WD with your Aboriginal guide, stopping along the journey to hear stories, including how Paddy Uluru fought for Aboriginal land rights, and where Uluru is today. The traditional owners of Uluru want to share their personal stories with you on their land. Join them for afternoon tea at a remote shelter to hear how they survived in this environment before tourism started in the region. Continue to a private sand dune to marvel at the expanse of the desert overlooking Uluru and Kata Tjuta while enjoying drinks and light snacks at sunset. (B)

Day 6 (Friday)

This morning is free to relax by the pool. This afternoon you will enjoy the quintessential Aussie outback experience and absorb the ambiance of the Red Centre without the crowds. Located 100 km east of Uluru, you will explore this extraordinary environment by 4WD. Mt Conner is situated on a vast, fully operational, privately owned cattle station called Curtin Springs Station. You will discover an ancient inland salt lake and learn about the European history of the region. While you enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, be captivated by the spectacular changing colours of sunset in the outback. Relish a three-course dinner at Curtin Springs Cattle Station before heading back to Ayers Rock Resort. (B,D)
